Mystique (aka Marley) is the first curly fillie Ebony Spirit has foaled. She will be a smokey black, therefore also carrying the creme gene, making it possible to have black, grulla, buckskin, or palomino foals. Mystique is put together nicely and we expect her to mature as a tall mare, being her dam has proven to throw large off-spring.
September 2010 Marley has started working on her lunge lessons. Marley's intelligent and laid back nature allows her to learn quickly. She experienced her first surcingle lunge lesson as well and took it all in stride. None of her trainers were suprised - this is Marley -she is inquisitive and unflappable.
Target for backing is set for November 2010. This will allow Marley to have 6 months under saddle before she is bred in April 2011.
January 2011 Marley has a new video -it's not the best since I was working her and the only person to video her.
Feb 2011 Marley has worn her lovely copper bit wrapped with "fruit roll-up" she has also be saddled.She has only had her side reins attached to the halter -they will not be attached to the bit for another week or two.
Marleyis off to Gary Marsolais of GK Training Centre in Chatsworth Ontario. She was a wonderful girl for her trailer ride and loaded cautiously but quiet and unloaded like she has been trailering her whole life!
Marley will have new training pics and video mid-march -she will be 60-90 days
at the trainer.
